The story

Rue de la Balance 2

A UNESCO building, two years of renovation, one philosophy: high-end hospitality, privately yours.

Vases béton et fleurs séchées — décor signature L'Appartement Hôtel de Ville

Rue de la Balance 2 is a 19th-century building set in the chequerboard layout that earned La Chaux-de-Fonds its UNESCO listing. Over two years, the attic and the apartment were transformed by local craftsmen into two high-end boutique homes.

The ambition: deliver the standards of a grand hotel — top-grade materials, Miele kitchen, rare stones, Royal Palace George V bedding, Drouault linens — without reception, without timed service. Full comfort, absolute freedom.

Each suite was designed as a piece in its own right: Labrador Bleu, Amazonite Verde, Ceppo brown, natural rattan, velvet, solid oak. Materials that speak, a space that breathes.

The address

Rue de la Balance 2. Right in the heart of the Hôtel de Ville. CFF station 5 minutes away. UNESCO on foot.

The materials

Labrador Bleu, Amazonite Verde, solid oak, Grohe fittings, Miele kitchen. No compromise.

The philosophy

A boutique hotel without a reception. You take the space privately and make it yours. Self check-in, keys handed over without waiting.
