What are the check-in and check-out times?+
Arrival is fully self-service via a secure key box. You can check in from 4 pm, any day of the week. Check-out is before 11 am. For special requests (late arrival, late departure), contact us directly.
What is the minimum stay?+
Minimum stay is 3 nights for the Rooftop and 2 nights for the Apartment. Both can be booked together (Bundle) with a 3-night minimum.
How many guests can the apartments accommodate?+
The Rooftop sleeps up to 8 guests. The Apartment up to 5. Booked together, the two units offer a total capacity of 13 guests — ideal for family groups or corporate retreats.
Which payment methods are accepted?+
We accept payment in CHF by credit card via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). A 30% deposit is paid at booking, the balance on arrival. No card data is stored on our servers.
What is the cancellation policy?+
Cancellation more than 60 days before arrival: full refund. Between 30 and 60 days: 50% refund. Less than 30 days: no refund. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.
Is there Wi-Fi?+
Yes, both the Rooftop and the Apartment have high-speed fibre Wi-Fi. Reliable connection, suitable for remote work and video calls.
Is the kitchen fully equipped?+
Yes, the Rooftop has a high-end Miele kitchen: induction hob, steam oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine. All tableware, utensils and linens are included.
Is there private lift access?+
The Rooftop is served by a private lift that goes directly from the building's hall to the rooftop level. No shared corridor — a fully discreet arrival.
Is there a pool or sports facilities?+
No, L'Appartement Hôtel de Ville is a luxury urban apartment, not a resort. That said, you are minutes away from the old town, gourmet restaurants and all the amenities of La Chaux-de-Fonds.
How do I get to the Rooftop?+
Rue de la Balance 2 is a 5-minute walk from La Chaux-de-Fonds CFF station. The station is connected to Paris in 4h40 (via Bern and Paris-Lyon), to Geneva in 1h30 and to Zurich in 2 hours. By car, public car parks are available nearby.
Are pets allowed?+
Pets may be accepted under certain conditions. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can confirm.
Is the property suitable for corporate events or retreats?+
Yes, the Rooftop is especially appreciated for team retreats, seminars and creative workshops. Its central location, open space and capacity for 8 make it an ideal setting. Contact us for a tailored quote.
